If you are scarf-impaired like I am, you might find this Talbots video helpful. (Still not sure how many of these looks are good for those of us who are short of neck.)
I love scarves and wear them often, though not always well. The biggest challenge, I think, is size and texture. In the video, she is using very large scarves to demonstrate. They are also sheer or nearly sheer. That is key for getting a result that's not bulky in the wrong places and lays the way you're hoping it will. Most of my scarves are gifts or sale purchases and are not of this large and thin variety. I'm rethinking my scarf strategy now.... Thanks for posting this!
Scarf strategy? Now, that's a conversation for over a cup of coffee! Nuclear disarmament and scarf strategy...and, I can actually hear us talking about both!
